Director of the HumanIA Lab and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at the University of Valladolid (UVa), where he is a professor in the Department of Philosophy. He holds a PhD in Philosophy and a degree in Telecommunications Engineering. His main areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, philosophy of mind and language, cognitive science, and data analysis.

Before joining academia, he worked for ten years in technological and strategic consulting as a data analysis expert for firms such as The Boston Consulting Group.

He is a member of the University of Valladolid’s Artificial Intelligence Centre and of CLAIRE (Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe), within its Special Interest Group on Ethics.

He will soon publish, as editor and co-author, the book Pensar la inteligencia artificial: una aproximación ético-filosófica (Thinking Artificial Intelligence: An Ethical-Philosophical Approach) with Plaza & Janés.
