Doctor of Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Full Professor in the area of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Director of the Applied Artificial Intelligence research group and Rector's Delegate for the Colmenarejo campus. He leads various public and private research projects focused on applying Artificial Intelligence techniques to problems in engineering, social sciences and biological sciences. Author of more than 200 publications including books and articles in international journals, and a participant in more than 250 presentations at international conferences. His areas of interest focus on Artificial Intelligence and its application in data analysis, data fusion, computer vision, IoT and the development of Drone systems.
