He is an expert in innovation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

He is currently Vice President and CEO of FUNDITEC, a private technology center dedicated to research and innovation in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and is President of the Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid.

Miguel collaborates with the Fiscal Management Division of the Inter-American Development Bank on digital transformation projects for regional tax, fiscal, and customs agencies.

From 2013 to November 2016, he was Director General of the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) and, during that period, a member of the National Cybersecurity Council.

Miguel is an officer in the Spanish Navy, holds a postgraduate degree in computer engineering from the Pontifical University of Salamanca, and has completed master's degrees, postgraduate studies, and certifications related to the governance and management of information technologies and cybersecurity. He has also completed the advisory program at the IESE Business School.
