Antonio Portilla

With a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Cantabria, he is currently a Full Professor at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), where he served as Dean from 2016 to 2022. He has directed the ISDEFE-UAH Chair in ICT and Artificial Intelligence since 2018. His research focuses on mobile networks, applied algorithms, and telecommunications regulation, with over 80 contributions to international journals, 11 individual and collaborative research projects, and more than 50 research projects and contracts with organizations and companies. He currently serves on the Governing Board of the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers and coordinates the Public Policy and Regulation Working Group. He regularly collaborates with organizations such as the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the Madrid+D Foundation, and ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation).
