Javier Bajo is a Full Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and, since March 16, 2021, Director of the UPM's AI research center. He has been a visiting professor at Dartmouth College (USA, 2016), Osaka Institute of Technology (Japan, 2011), and IRIT-University of Toulouse (France, 2013, 2014, 2015). His main research interests are Social Intelligence, Trustworthy AI, and Neurotechnology and AI. He has extensive experience working with multi-agent systems and their application in various domains. He has supervised 18 doctoral theses, participated in more than 60 research projects, and is co-author of over 300 scientific articles in leading journals.
